Over the centuries, calendar systems have been revised according to the powers that be. During the era of the Julian calendar, the equinox was celebrated on March 25. Today, following Pope Gregory’s reforms when the Gregorian calendar was introduced in 1582 to adjust the date of Easter, the equinox now occurs on March 20 or 21. It’s also worth noting that meteorologists mark the first day of spring as March 1, with the season extending through May 31 each year.
The pressing question for us this year is this: do Yah’s Zadok Priesthood Scrolls discovered at Qumran in 1947 still hold authority in our lives today?
Recent Calendar History Revisited
It turns out that Month 1, Day 1—March 20, 2019—marked the 50th year of one Jubilee cycle, the first year of a new 49-year Jubilee count, and a new 294-year cycle as recorded in DSS 4Q319. Additionally, it was the inaugural year of the 6-year priestly course cycle.
Fast forward 2,184 days to 2025, and the sixth year would have ended on Day 364, Tuesday, March 11, 2025. At Prophecy Vine, we added a reset intercalation week this year to realign with Yah’s calendar, based on DSS evidence showing that the Zadok priests did not perform intercalation during the 6-year priestly course.
This is the week during which the priestly family Gamul serves three days at the end of the sixth year and four days at the beginning of the new cycle—a perfect moment to intercalate “the out of time week” to stay on track with the 365.25-day solar cycle. The PV 2025 calendar highlights March 12–18 as this reset intercalation week. Consequently, the first day of the new 6-year priestly course cycle began on Day 4, Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Our latest sign came as a true blessing from Yah Most High. Prophecy Vine ministry team leader Robert Villa marked the straight-line day (the equinox) on a leveled door atop his brick-covered mailbox in North Texas, USA. This event occurred on New Year/Head of the Year Day, Month 1 Day 1 – March 19, 2025 – so there was no need to add another intercalation week, despite suggestions to do so. By placing his faith in Yah’s calendar, Robert reaped the rewards. We later learned that other ministries also observed the straight-line day on March 19, 2025. Praise Yah!
The Way We See It
At Prophecy Vine, we firmly believe that our heavenly Father, Yahuah, and our eternal High Priest, Yeshua, are summoning a united Israel back to the calendar established during “creation week” — a time symbolically recreated in 2019. This week serves as a reminder of the seven candlestick Menorah, with each candle representing a day of the week, from Day 1 (Sunday) to Day 7 (the Sabbath).
Consider this:
- Day 1, Yah divided the light from the darkness much like the true equal day and night that occurred during Intercalary week, Sunday, March 17, 2019. Jubilees tells us the Angels were also created on Day 1.
- Day 2, Yah created the beautiful blue sapphire firmament above us that He calls Heaven and separated the waters from the waters.
- Day 3 the land appeared and is still inhabited to this day.
- Day 4 of “creation week” Yah was very busy. He started His time count and worked on a calendar.
- He created the sun starting in the area of the star constellations soon to be created (probably Pisces) to start the year.
- DSS 4Q320 Mishmarot A fr 1 states “who caused it to shine in the middle of heaven, in the foundation of the “creation” from evening to morning a full (super) moon and the next sentence of the scroll reads “on the 4th day of the week, ofthe sons of Gamul in the first month of the 1st year just like it was in 2019.
- Day 5 Yah created the water reptiles and flying critters of all kinds.
- Day 6 Yah made the wild beast, cattle and all land reptiles of the earth according to their kind. Last but not least He made man, male and female according to His image.
- Day 7 On Sabbath, when heaven and earth were finished Yah saw that it was very good and He rested. He also blessed and sanctified the Sabbath day forever. Some of the angels also rested.
Now that we know where we are in time it helps us to grow in our faith, gives us hope for our future and will help us grow into a peaceful united Israel that loves each other, our Heavenly Father, Yahuah and our eternal High Priest, Yeshua forever in the New Jerusalem.
