Event Guide

Shavuot —also known as the Feast of Weeks— is described in Leviticus 23 as a sacred feast of harvest and dedication. It is the second in order amongst the three annual pilgrimage festivals that include Passover and Sukkot. Key aspects of Shavuot, as outlined in Leviticus 23, include:
1. A Holy Assembly and Rest:
The feast is a day of gathering and sacred assembly. It is a solemn occasion during which no ordinary work is performed, emphasizing the day’s dedicated purpose for worship and celebration.
2. A Firstfruits Offering:
Shavuot is connected to the presentation of the harvest’s first fruits. It is a time for the people of Yah to express gratitude and reaffirm our dependence on divine provision.
3. A Harvest Connection:
Celebrated at the end of the grain harvest season in ancient Israel, Shavuot reinforces the bond between the cycles of nature, the hard work of the people, and Yahuah’s sustaining care.
Shavuot is more than a harvest festival—it is a time to deepen the community’s covenantal relationship with Yahuah. It is an occasion for joyous communal worship, thanksgiving, and reflection on the Most High’s faithfulness in providing for His people.
You are invited to join us at Lake Pat Mayse for a transformative experience of worship and fellowship during Shavuot 2025, and take part in this sacred gathering that unites believers in a spirit of community and devotion.
